After the Cub Scouts had a hot dog an marshmallow roast at our house, the boys wanted to do it again, but this time just the marshmallows...before a night of camping out for the boys.
But to start off the fire, our neighbor turned on his stove burner without realizing it and lit a plastic lid on fire. He was alerted by his smoke alarm and took a fire extinguisher to it. Lots of smoke. The boys thought it was cool. We made him dinner and lent him a fan to get some of the smoke out. Then to the real roast.
Most of Matthew's mallows don't stay clean enough to eat, so this was a real treat.
We had to have the fire truck on hand for safety because we had a fire...
Carter had 3 at the same time, so I need 3, also.
Me too, dad!
Dad, is it time to put the fire out?
Yes, really? Carter...turn on the water!
Need fire man hats for firefighting.
Then for a long night trying to get the three boys to fall asleep in a tent on the back porch. But at least I got to sleep in the air conditioned house.
