Trick-or-Treating

We tried two different types of trick-or-treating this year. First was around Irene's office building to the different cubicles. At first, when people would put something in his pumpkin, he would take it out and try to hand it back. We moved up to him leaving it in the pumpkin and then advanced to him picking a candy from a bowl/bag and putting it in his pumpkin. He learned that handfuls were okay because most of the time one handful was one candy bar. There were a few times that one handful was 4 Twizzlers or 8 Pixie Sticks. We were doing great when we got him to say "bye" and wave. "Trick-or-Treat" and "Thank you" were out of the question. Even if he could really say them, he was too shy.

Later, we went up to our old Bishop's neighborhood to see them and Trick-or Treat. It was the perfect amount of houses for us, like 20. He was so excited that he would start to run to the next house but was so tired that he had to stop after not too far. He loved the pumpkins on the porch more than the people giving him candy.

When we got home it was passed bed time and even with eating no candy, he was wired. We let him go to bed with his sword, though. It lit up. It was eventually tossed aside for the puppy, as you can see.
