(Christine, Shaylene, Kaileigh, Rhiannon, Michelle, Carter, Jennifer)
Carter just loved touching the water and the smooth wet surface as it spun.
We saw some monkeys first. This is Rhiannon.
Waiting for an elephant show, there were a bunch of instruments to play. Shaylene jumped right in.
Carter followed not too long later. he loved the drum and the maraca.
With two strollers and three kids to ride, we improvised.
We found out that three adults, 4.5 children and two strollers weigh as much a a newborn elephant. But. yes, this is the rhino.
The tiger came for a cooldown while we were at the window. Before, he was nowhere to be seen.
The statues were sometimes the favorite part of the exhibits.
There were 3 giraffes. they had in indoor and an outdoor viewing area. This one was eating most of the time we were there.
I made sure to have some food for Carter that was ready to eat. I periodically got it out to feed to him and his food became more popular than what was brought for the older kids. We did share, but I made sure that Carter got the majority based on his lack of teeth.
This was the unanimous coolest animal as voted on by the adults. It is a Mara, a cross between a rabbit and a squirrel and something else. It hops.
the dinosaurs had a tendency of scaring some of the kids. Especially the ones the at spit water several feet.
The joke was that I left Jason for this good-looking beast. So this is our new family picture.
There is a child play area with slide and jungle gyms and things to climb on and in. Carter being hatched from his egg.
In his new shell. He refused to climb in this one, Jen had to put him in it and I had to get the picture as he scrambled to get out.
Overall, a fun day and no one got sunburnt.
