Recently I started pulling out the items for the new baby. My main purpose for doing it early was so Carter could get used to everything and have time to check it out before the baby gets here. I don't want to stress him too badly. He has fun pushing the swing and is learning that the playpen is off limits, but this play center is definitely his favorite. He loves to crawl under it and hit the toys to make them rattle.

Carter decided that he was going to pass the walking stage and go straight to climbing. Mom is not too happy with this because she will end up carrying two everywhere instead of just one (imagine carrying 35 lbs of child at once!) as well as it keeps her on her toes. He learned how to climb the TV stand/bookshelf with the use of the Yoga ball. Oh boy.
Recently we have been having Texas-style rainstorms that randomly start, go on for 20-30 minutes, then the sun comes back out. Jason took Carter out to play in the puddles and the little boy from two doors down joined them.
Hopefully watching the neighbor in his quest to walk helps Carter to get the urge to do it himself.
