Berry Picking

 Jason has been waiting for blackberry season for a while...a few months ago we ran out of our blackberry freezer jam. We have a few farms in the area that allow you to pick and purchase. Well, the season is here, so we tried our hand at picking blackberries (these are thornless varieties). We picked a bunch before Jason finally put one in his mouth; so tart. Not what a berry should taste like. But I took them home and jammed them anyway, and with how much sugar you already put in jam, the tartness was taken away.
