Sorry, there are not really pictures of this one. The camera ended up in a box in the moving truck.
So, the truck arrived on Wednesday. We arranged for some men to help us put in the bigger things. We realized that the truck needed to be gone on Thursday, not the originally planned Friday, and moved into high gear to get the rest packed up. Jason packed the truck until it was done at midnight (started around 7:30). Truck left Thursday. Cleaned and packed the car and checked out Thursday evening. Drove to Lubbock Friday. Spent half of Saturday with B and T and the girls and the new dog. Drove to Mom and Dad's.
The boys had so much fun. They loved to ride the Glory horsie (as Carter says) and the tractor, eat popsicles and ice cream, and play with Grandma and Grandma's toys. Carter was taught that his favorite uncle will feed him ice cream, so if he answers " who is your favorite uncle?" with whoever is asking him the question, he will expect ice cream and ask for it if not readily there.
Jason and I found a turtle in the house. It had apparently been brought in and lost a few days before, and when Jason and I heard it, we thought it must be the biggest mouse in the world. Good thing it was only a turtle and it could make it back outside.
Jason and I also looked at minivans, and bought one. It is a 2004 Toyota Sienna with 74,000 miles, 8 seats, a passenger power sliding door (that can be turned off and used like a regular door, if wanted), and a back-up sensor. Cool beans. And tons of extra space for the rest of the move.
Got to Athens. Got keys and got our moving truck. Still working on settling in and unpacking. But things are going good. (now that we have our air conditioning working and hot water)
